Dr. Watson will be presenting as much of the information as we can pack into 90 minutes.  This includes the neurobiology of PTSD and how each treatment works on the brain and how it will manifest clinically. This seminar is known for making the neurobiology of PTSD understandable for anyone.  It is also known for elucidating which treatments can only provide temporary relief and which ones result in long term healing.

You are invited to attend this FREE seminar, for the sole goal to make meaningful connections with the people who we will be working alongside of for the next couple decades.

Because spaces are limited, please ensure you attend if you signup.  We look forward to this opportunity.

PROVIDERS ONLY

Would you like to have a casual lunch and discuss difficult cases or questions with a psychodynamically trained neuropsychiatrist and 4 other therapy providers?  Or, are you looking to network with other providers who are also “in the struggle”?  I would!  And this is why I started the Lunch Bunch.

Lunch Bunch is a place where you can meet virtually with other mental health providers, get professional insights, blow off some steam and gain the emotional support needed to do your best work.  All for free!

In my previous clinic, I established a daily lunch routine where the providers would all meet and eat lunch together.  We shared funny stories, difficult situations and I was often asked about the medical/neurobiological side of mental health.  This no pressure lunch atmosphere led to us feeling connected, collaboratively increasing our knowledge and we successfully resolved many complex problems.  The power of combining a psychiatrist’s medical/psychodynamic insights with the various therapist’s knowledge resulted in our entire clinic having unprecedented success and improving morale immeasurably.  Lunch bunch helped us find valuable solutions and we also rediscovered the joy of working in our profession.  I’m now inviting you to experience the same thing.!

While University Elite’s Lunch Bunch is free and any mental health provider is welcome, it is important to emphasize that it is only for mental health providers.  Therefore, I do require some information about your practice (all kept confidential).  After entering your information, you can use the scheduling tool to reserve a spot on the day of your choice.  Then an email with the secure video link will be sent.

The idea of Lunch Bunch is that you will interact with different individuals every time and that there is no commitment to return.  You are welcome to schedule one week then skip as many weeks as you desire.  It is intended to be a low stress opportunity.  Apart from showing up when you reserve a slot, I don’t want you to feel any pressure.  Instead, my hope is that Lunch Bunch makes you feel welcomed and supported.

Please be aware of the following expectations:

  1. Above all, bring your lunch and feel free to eat. Just mute your sound when you have a noisy wrapper 🙂
  2. Be prepared to give a quick personal introduction (we want to get to know you personally) at each lunch bunch meeting.
  3. Be prepared to quickly introduce your area of practice
  4. To maintain privacy, always avoid patient names or other HIPAA identifying patient information (we suggest using an alias)
  5. Never allow patients or support staff to participate in the group.  (The Lunch Bunch is for providers only.)
  6. Please ensure you’re in a private area and that all the information discussed in this group stays confidential.
  7. Be aware that information and topics discussed in Lunch Bunch DO NOT constitute medical advice or professional consultation.  It is casual discussion and brainstorming only.
  8. Please be kind.  We all have strengths that might be someone else’s weakness.  This is intended to be a place to build each other up.  Not a place to show off our knowledge.
  9. We use Google Meet for our virtual meetings.  Your secure link to google room will be emailed automatically when you reserve a spot.
  10. While discussing clinical situations take priority, sometimes nobody will have a clinical situation they wish to discuss.  During these times, you are encouraged to “shoot the bull” and make social connections with the other participants.
  11. You don’t need a clinical reason to reserve a spot.  As long as you are following the guidelines, you are welcome. I look forward to meeting with you all.
What Doctors Say About

Dr. Hans Watson Peer Counseling

I could have listened to this man all day. I think this is the best presentation that I have ever been a part of at a conference. I am going to google him and find other places he speaks.

This guy was absolutely amazing and I wanted to learn more from him. I would love to have some kind of advanced training with him!

my favorite presentation of the conference. I learned a lot and really appreciated how he connected the information to the model and the clinicians role

This presenter was very entertaining and captivating. He broke down this information in very palatable bites and left us all with a great basic understanding of the brain and trauma and healing.

My favorite! Awesome!

More of this please – an arena presentation would be awesome!

Super fun way to learn a potentially difficult subject.

Excellent facilitation and presentation style as well as very valuable information. Most valuable takeaways for me were 1) avoiding “how’s your week“ therapy; i.e. make sure we are really addressing the client’s issue(s), and 2) when and how to use the model to provide supportive vs. exploratory (behavioral) vs. targeted (CBT, brief psychodynamic, etc) interventions.

Hans Watson was one of my favorite presenters! His knowledge, style, humor and skills were excellent. Thank you for having him present at the conference. Fantastic!

I learned so much!! He was fascinating. He did an AMAZING JOB with keeping the audience engaged and informed. I would LOVE to go to another one of his workshops!

OMG!! It was obvious to me that we were all hungry for this topic!! BEST presentation I have EVER seen at a Conference. Bring him back and make this a thread throughout the conference. Neuro-psych is a hot topic and something that is so helpful to understand in our work. Worth Paying this quality of a speaker. Thank you for having him!!!

This was extremely well presented and interesting.

This speaker was excellent! I learned so much and appreciate how he invested time to make things simple yet very practical. I would love to hear him again next year.

Excellent presentation. Well worth attending. Willing to address discrepancies and disagreements instead of glossing over them. Enjoyed this presentation.

This presenter was AMAZING! He was very engaging and interesting. I think he was the best presenter I saw…

A most excellent and delightful presentation! Dr. Watson is indeed a very talented and accessible speaker.

really enjoyed the presentation of this information and would love to have this presenter back again – definitely plan on looking into his research…

Exceptional presentation skills– engaging and utilized humor and audience participation

Excellent! This guy was experienced, brilliant, funny and clearly explained in creative ways working with Trauma.

Dr. Watson is clearly an expert. His ability to simplify neuroscience and deliver clear, accurate and evidenced-based information that we can use immediately was OUTSTANDING!!! Too bad we can’t clone him :O) The BEST!!!!

such a better understanding now of the actual process of the brain which will help understand the clients better and allow me to be a more productive facilitator

Excellent presentation! One of the best I’ve ever attended. Thank you!

This was so informative, entertaining and well presented. Please bring him back.

This was one of my favorite presentations of the conference.

Dr. Watson is fabulous!!! He needs his own workshop next conference!!!

Please bring back. We need more time with him!

What Makes Us Special?

University Elite is focused equally on patient education and treatment options. Instead of simply “throwing a med at the symptoms,” we focus on understanding the “why” behind your specific situation and symptoms. Then we take the necessary time to help our patients understand “the why.” This is the reason that our patients are equal partners in choosing their treatment approach.

Our Insurance Policy

Please note that to provide personalized service and full confidentiality, University Elite does not contract with any insurance providers. All services are paid for in full by the client when reserving each session.

If requested, your doctor will be happy to provide you with a reimbursement form or “superbill” which you can present to your insurance provider in order to seek partial reimbursement for psychiatric or psychotherapeutic services rendered.

Insurance Policy…

…If you plan to use insurance benefits, it is recommended that you check with your insurance provider prior to your first appointment to understand the full details of your out-of-network mental health benefits. University Elite Doctors are considered “out-of-network” providers for insurance plans. These plans vary widely and typically reimburse patients anywhere from 25% to 90% of the total cost of each session. You may want to ask your insurance carrier to what extent they reimburse for psychiatric services by an out-of-network doctor.
